While we have a pending law suit, that has been funded by our members and local supporters, we are not seeking damages. We are seeking enforcement of the OAA (Orderly Annexation Agreement) and reversal of the Met Council Zoning change. Other counts in the lawsuit inlcude Environmental Protection from violations of MERA (Minnesota Environmental Rights Act)
We are entering into the discovery phase and need funding for expert witnesses and ongoing attorney fees. These will greatly exceed whtat we've been able to raise so far.
The City of Farmington filed to dismiss our case but the Judge dismissed their request. As we prevailed in the city's attempt at dismissal, we are proceeding to trial.
